Farmers Meat resumed commercial operations in October 2022. This undertaking was a significant milestone achieved through the efforts of Hartlief and the O&L Group and represents a pivotal moment for the Namibian meat industry.

Our dedication to progress is evident through our reinvestment in facilities and the industry, which has resulted in additional job opportunities and breathed new life into the sector. We take great pride in being Namibia's largest and only A-rated export facility for sheep, authorised to export top-quality sheep meat to the European Union and Norway. Our recertification in November 2022 reaffirmed our commitment to excellence and, since then, we have earned a stellar reputation for delivering exceptional products.

Not only does our resumption ensure a market for small stock producers with improved price points, but it also creates employment opportunities in the Hardap region, aligning with the O&L Purpose of "Creating a future, enhancing life."
